Central Registration is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
(Closed for lunch from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm)

ALL registrations are in person, by appointment only.

 
All students (PreK-Grade 12) new to the South Brunswick School District must be registered through the Central Registration Office ONLY.

Entrance Age Requirements:

Our Entrance Age Policy states that children must attain five years of age on or before October 31 of the school year in question to be eligible to enroll in Kindergarten. Further, the Policy also states that children must attain six years of age on or before October 31 of the school year in question to be eligible to enroll in First Grade. Please note that our Entrance Age Policy is strictly enforced.


Mandatory Registration Requirements for
all Residency Situations:

  • Student and parent/guardian must live in South Brunswick.
  • Parent/Guardian must be present during registration. Children are not required to be present during registration.
  • An Original Birth Certificate with a raised seal, Visa or Passport for your child with their full name.
  • Immunization records and most recent Physical for your child.
  • A Transfer Card if you are transferring from a school within New Jersey.
  • Report cards for the past two years for grades 1-8; Transcripts for grades 9-12.
  • If applicable:
    • Standardized test scores
    • IEP/504
    • All custody, legal or placement documentation.

Mandatory Proof of Residency Required
During your Registration Appointment:

  1. Homeowners/Renters:
    • Original signed lease or deed in your name.
    • Original, current PSEG bill in your name/your new address
    • One other document with your name and South Brunswick address (ex: Driver’s license or [DMV Online address change confirmation is accepted], a current pay stub, vehicle registration, bank statement, etc.)
  2. Residing with a South Brunswick Resident (you must bring the resident with you to your registration appointment):

    The resident must bring:
    • Original signed lease or deed in resident’s name.
    • Proof of identity (ex: Driver’s license, passport, etc.)
    • Dated, notarized letter, listing the names of all of the registrant’s family living in the home.
    • Statement of Assurance

    The registrant must bring:
    • Three documents in your name and the South Brunswick resident’s address. (ex: current driver’s license or printed confirmation that your address has been changed [DMV Online address change confirmation is accepted], a current pay stub, a vehicle registration, a bank statement, etc.)
    • If applicable, all custody, legal or placement documentation must be provided.

    Families enrolling as an affidavit status:
    • The student must be living with a district resident for reasons other than to obtain a free education in South Brunswick Schools.
    • The South Brunswick resident must provide full financial support of the student and provide documentation.

HOW TO ENROLL YOUR CHILD

You AND your child
must be physically living in the District
before starting the registration process.

There are three steps to enrolling your child in the District:

Step 1.

Click HERE to search your address and locate which school your child will attend THEN
Click HERE to PRE-REGISTER and choose your appointment date and time.

Step 2.

Print out, complete, and bring the following forms to your registration appointment. Please note, if you have multiple children, you must complete forms for each child. If you are unable to print any of the required documents, please contact the office prior to your appointment. Hard copies of all forms are available for pickup at the Board Office. Step 3:

You have completed the pre-registration process. Please print out or save the confirmation page given. An email will be sent to confirm the date and time you selected for your registration appointment.

Please allow 30-45 minutes for your registration appointment.

Note: Registration is considered incomplete until all
required documents have been received.
