Fall 2022

SBSD Annual Standardized Assessment Information

NJSLA student score reports have been posted to the Genesis Parent Portal. 

We are required by statute (N.J.S.A 18A:7C-6.6) to annually notify parents or guardians by October 1 any statewide students assessment or commercially developed standardized assessment that will be administered over the course of the school year. Information provided includes the name of the assessment, the assessment testing window dates, grade levels that will participate, and the timeline for score reports. 




August 2022 News:
Start Strong Assessment:
The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE)  requires that we administer the Start Strong Assessment at the start of the school year. The South Brunswick School District will administer the Start Strong Assessments in September, which is the designated testing window.. These assessments will measure standards from the previous grade level. Specific schedules and times will be shared by your child’s school once we return in September.

NJSLA Spring 2022 Results:
Once receive Individual Student Reports, these will be posted to the Genesis Parent Portal. You will receive an email when the results are available.


March 2022 News:
Earlier this year, we distributed the Annual Assessment Notification about standardized testing in our district. It included testing windows, but it was too early to share specific dates. At this time we wanted to make sure all families had the most current NJSLA Family Calendar 2022. As we get closer to the April dates, your child’s school will share additional information with you.


January 2022 News:
During the week of March 14th, this year’s Juniors, the Class of 2023, will participate in the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment (NJGPA). The NJGPA is a brand new online assessment that measures student proficiency in English Language Arts and Mathematics. The assessment is aligned to New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) for grade 10 ELA, Algebra I and Geometry. NJGPA is designed to determine a student’s ability to think critically, solve problems, and use information from what they read and write to develop essays and to solve mathematical problems.
In other testing news, the NJSLA will be administered this spring. We are are still working on our schedule to be shared at a later date. The testing window is April 25, 2022 to June 3, 2022.
