A Public Hearing of the proposed 2018-2019 School District Budget was held on Monday, May 7, 2018, during a regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education. This important meeting was open to the public and provided residents with the opportunity to comment on the District's Proposed 2018 _ 2019 School District Budget.

School Board Candidate InformationIn the upcoming November 8, 2018 school board election, the Board of Education will have three open vacancies for a full term of three years. Prospective candidates must choose a term on the petition. Interested parties can access a "Candidate Kit" from the New Jersey School Boards Association's website or obtain one by visiting the South Brunswick Board of Education Business Office at 231 Black Horse Lane Monday _ Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. This "Kit" provides important information about becoming a school board member and the election process as well as the Nominating Petition. State law requires that all completed school board nominating petitions for the November election be delivered to the appropriate county clerk (Middlesex County Clerk, 75 Bayard Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901) by 4 p.m. on July 30, 2018 (even if the clerk's operating hours extend past that time). School board nominating petitions for the November election cannot be returned to the local school district office. Candidates can withdraw from the election up until September 7, 2018. Voter InformationResidents who are at least 18-years old, citizens of the United States and have lived in Middlesex County for at least 30 days may register to vote. Voter registration applications must be received by the Middlesex County Board of Elections 21 days prior to an election.

In New Jersey, voters can also vote by mail-in ballot in any election. Voters no longer need a reason to vote by mail.

To be eligible to vote in the November School Board Member Election , you must register 21 days prior to the election.
