Crossroads Student Handbook 2009-10
Dear Crossroads Students and Parents,

It is with great enthusiasm that the faculty and staff welcome you to the 2009-
2010 school year. We welcome the opportunity to work with you in creating a sound future
for the students of Crossroads Middle School.

The need for a safe, orderly and caring school environment is fundamental to the
achievement of a quality education. The policies and procedures included in this handbook
are designed to create that environment. They establish expected norms of behavior for
the school community and provide a basis for the creation of an atmosphere in which
learning can flourish.

Our policies are reviewed and updated each year. Because you are expected to
both know and follow the rules and regulations of the school, we ask that you please read
the handbook on the next few pages with care, and both share and discuss the information
together.

We look forward to sharing a partnership of excellence with you and working closely
with you and your child throughout the year. The Crossroads Middle School Community -
students, parents/guardians, and staff - all share in the responsibility for creating a great
school. If we all commit ourselves to that purpose, we shall guarantee a successful year.

Sincerely,
Crossroads Administrative Team

ATTENDANCE*Punctuality and attendance are important habits for students to develop and maintain. In keeping with the
NJ State Education Code, we recommend that, except in the case of illness—particularly contagious
illness, vomiting, or fever, recognized religious holidays, family emergencies or serious conditions, your
child should be in school and arrive on time.

Family vacations and other non-educational activities should be planned so they do not interfere with
school attendance. Student absence due to family vacations and travel is strongly discouraged as it is
disruptive to student learning. Teachers do not provide work in advance of such absences.

Excessive tardiness and absenteeism is monitored, and as necessary, administration will contact parents.
Please respect the importance of the school day by insuring your child’s daily attendance and timely
arrival. Excessive tardiness to school may result in disciplinary action.

Excused absences include home instruction, religious holidays approved by the Board of Education, and
those days the Principal may determine as an acceptable cause. Absences for reasons such as
babysitting, etc. are illegal and are not permitted. Family vacations are not appropriate reasons to miss
school. Parents should not allow students to make decisions regarding attending school.

In the event of absence: It is a parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to call the school when a child is going
to be absent. The district’s voicemail system is operative 24 hours a day so you may place a call at any
time. When calling the school to report an absence, please give the child’s full name, reason for absence
and the date(s) of absence. It is district policy that any “un-notified absence” will result in a call from the
school and will be classified as “unexcused.” Please note that a student who is absent from school during
the day may NOT participate in any after school or evening events.

In the event of lateness: If a student must report to school late, the parent must escort the student to the
office and provide the office staff with the reason for the tardiness. The parent must sign the student in at
the main office.

In the event of early sign-out: Early sign-out from school is discouraged; however, we realize there are
times when this will occur. Please send a note in advance to alert us of the need to sign your child out
early from school. The parent must come in to the main office to sign the student out.

After-school activities/Late Bus: Students who remain after school must be under the direct supervision
of a teacher, activity sponsor or coach. Those are the only students who are eligible to ride a late bus.
Sporting event spectators are not permitted to use the late bus. We expect that students who stay after
school for an activity have already informed their parents/guardians and have received permission to stay.

Emergency Closing: In the event that the school must close early, students will take their usual routes
home. Students should make sure they talk with their parents about what they should do in the event that
no one is home when they arrive. There should always be a back-up plan that can be followed.

Official School Hours:

CODE OF CONDUCT GUIDELINES
REVISED APRIL 2009

Statement of Purpose

The ultimate purpose of school discipline is the development of self-discipline. We strive to be consistent, firm but fair, and aware of the pride and dignity of every student. We ask that all parents discuss the meaning of self-discipline and appropriate school behavior with their children.

While in school, we expect students to behave responsibly, to respect the rights and properties of others, and to work cooperatively with all members of the school community. We expect students to follow the school guidelines and the guidelines established in each class.

Students are responsible to all school personnel for their behavior while on their way to and from school, and during the school day or school sponsored activities.

All South Brunswick Schools embrace the following core values, CARES, in an effort to build positive school citizens in our learning community. This is supported through our district’s Character Education Program.

  C Cooperation
  A Assertion
  R Responsibility
  E Empathy
  S Self-control

As students move to our high school setting, they continue to build upon the basic core values, CARES, and further emphasize the additional values of Honesty, Respect, Kindness, and Service.

When a student commits an offense, the school staff will help the student to see the relationship between the offense and the related core value.

Student conduct at the home bus stop is the parent’s/guardian’s responsibility. NJ Statute 18A:25-2 provides that the driver shall be in full charge of the school bus at all times. Infractions deeming the student to be unmanageable can be reported to the school administration by the driver and disciplinary action will be taken as necessary. Please refer to the Student Transportation Brochure included with your child’s bus pass mailing for further description of the Rules & Responsibilities.

HEALTH SERVICESSchool Nurse

Crossroads has a full-time nurse to promote the general health of our students. The nurse’s duties include conducting eye examinations and hearing tests, and arranging for physical examinations. The nurse may not treat old injuries or change bandages. Physical exams are required to participate in after school sports and to receive working papers. The nurse will provide forms and information to students and parents.

Students who are ill

Students who are ill should be kept at home and use the family doctor as needed. THEY SHOULD NOT BE SENT TO SCHOOL FOR DIAGNOSIS OF HEALTH PROBLEMS. We want to minimize the possibility of transmitting diseases. If a student becomes ill during the day, our school nurse is available.

Medication

It is the policy of South Brunswick Schools that the administration of medication to pupils shall be done only in exceptional circumstances such as when the student’s health may be jeopardized without the medicine. If a student’s doctor has prescribed medication, which must be given during school hours, the medication should be brought to the school nurse at the beginning of the school day. (This also includes “over the counter” medications.) All medication MUST be in the original, labeled container. Parent/guardians need to fill out a medication order form, which can be obtained from the school nurse. This form needs to be signed by the doctor in order for the nurse to administer the medication. Students may NOT carry medications.

Emergency Cards

Emergency cards, which contain accurate and up-to-date information with local emergency telephone numbers, are essential in providing proper care in case of illness or injury. Please report any changes in information throughout the year.

MEDIA AND WEB NON-CONSENT FORMS*

Annually, South Brunswick School District sends parents/guardians information about federal and state laws as it pertains to the “personally identifiable information” of students and their rights when it comes to the School District using a child’s name/likeness in the media, District-sponsored publications or on its web site. These forms are sent to parents/guardians at the start of school.

If a parent/guardian does not want his/her child’s name and/or photograph to appear in the local newspapers, District-sponsored publications or on the District web site, they must sign and return the related form to the school’s main office.

Permission may be rescinded at any point during the school year by sending a note to the building principal. This will take effect upon receipt by school.

For further details, contact the main office.

NUTRITION*
South Brunswick School District contracts its school dining services through Chartwells Dining Service,
which provides school lunch options in compliance with the State-mandated Nutrition Policy.

Due to the growing number of students who have been diagnosed with peanut allergies, which can be
fatal to some, Chartwells School Dining Services no longer serves items that are peanut-based or use
foods prepared with peanut-based products in any of our cafeterias. While this change does not impact
“packed” lunches or snacks, we ask that you be mindful of the existence of food allergies among children
and discourage sharing of snacks.

Lunchroom Information
Food Purchase: Students may purchase a complete lunch at school with several selections from which
to choose. All complete lunches comply with the State of New Jersey and Federal Government standards
for balanced nutritional meals. Students may purchase a-la-carte items, such as ice cream, beverages or
desserts, to supplement the lunch they bring from home. A Lunch Debit Card will be issued to each
student. Checks for the account are to be made out to the South Brunswick Board of Education.
Weekly menus are posted in the cafeteria. Lunch food purchased from the cafeteria or brought from
home must be eaten only in the cafeteria and during the assigned lunch period.

Charging Lunch: If students forget their lunch or lunch money, the CAFETERIA STAFF provides
“limited charging.” Students are permitted to charge twice for a full lunch. If students do not pay back their charges, they will not be permitted to charge any more lunches. They cannot charge a la carte items
or snacks. If a student does not pay off a negative balance, charging privileges are denied. Students will
be responsible to see that the cafeteria is reimbursed promptly. For students who have an outstanding
debt or an excessive pattern of charging, an alternative lunch will be provided. Parents may send money
in advance, and it will be credited to the student's account. Students are not to borrow money from
other students.

Some students may be eligible for free or reduced lunch based on their family’s economic means. This is
determined through a lunch form handed out at the beginning of the school year.

Cafeteria Guidelines: Our aim is to provide a pleasant dining atmosphere in a limited space. This
requires the support and proper behavior of everyone. Students are expected to report directly to the
cafeteria for their assigned lunch periods. Students are responsible for keeping the area clean (floor,
tables, chair, etc.), returning trays to the proper location, putting trash in the garbage containers and
recycling in the designated containers. If an area is not clean when students enter the cafeteria, this
should be called to the attention of the cafeteria aides so that those students will not be held responsible.
Students will be dismissed by table when areas are clean. Cafeteria regulations created by Crossroads
students will be posted in the cafeteria. Lunchroom Aides are in the cafeteria to assure that the cafeteria
is an enjoyable and safe area in which to eat. Students are to follow the directions of the cafeteria aides.

Food/drinks are not to be removed from the cafeteria unless a student is meeting with staff at lunch.
Unopened snack and beverages are permitted outside the cafeteria and should be properly stored.
Teachers may use food for classroom rewards, but it is to be consumed at that time. Teachers may allow
students to eat healthy snacks in their classes under their supervision. Students are responsible for the
disposal of all trash. Water bottles are not to be carried in the building.

PERSONAL ITEMS*
Students are expected to bring to school only those supplies, books and other materials needed for
learning. The school provides students with recreational supplies and equipment for use during recess
and/or Physical Education. Personal items including but not limited to electronic devices such as cell
phones are not allowed to be used in school during school hours. Refusal to adhere to this policy will
result in confiscation of the item.

Pets
Generally, no pets are permitted in school. However, if a teaching event will benefit from the presence of
the pet, the teacher involved must speak with an Assistant Principal or Principal to work out all details.

Lost & Found
Students may check outside of Cafeteria B (North) or the Activities Office (South) for “lost and found”
items. In order to facilitate the return of lost articles to the rightful owner, every attempt should be made
to permanently mark all items brought to school with the student’s name. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT
ALL ITEMS “FOUND” IN THE BUILDING SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO THE DESIGNATED LOST AND FOUND AREA. Periodically, all unclaimed items are brought to local shelters or community
service organizations.

PUBLIC COMPLAINTS AND INQUIRIES*
Policy provides for a forum for members of the community to resolve any misunderstandings between the
public and the school district regarding school personnel, district operations or instructional materials.
Resolution is initially attempted through discussion between the interested parties.

REPORT CARDS/ PROGRESS REPORTS/FAMILY CONNECT
Family Connect*

Family Connect is the online grade book program for South Brunswick middle and high school parents/guardians and students. This program provides families with “real time” information on students’ progress by giving parents and students online access to current assignments, grades and attendance through PowerSchool. Family Connect enables students and their parents/guardians to view information anywhere there is internet access and at any time of the day. Assignments and grades will be posted at various times during the marking period with most grades being updated every two weeks depending on the nature of the assignment. In order to access Family Connect you will need your child’s ID and Password. The Web site location is http://ps.sbschools.org/public. SCHOOL SAFETY PROCEDURES*
School Safety
All district schools conduct drills and have plans in place to keep students, staff and community members
visiting the schools safe and secure. Among such safeguards are the following:

  • Bus Evacuation Drills (twice a year)

  • Fire Drill ( twice monthly)
At the sound of the fire bell, students look for the Emergency Exit Sign near the exit door. This points them in the direction to turn when leaving the room. Then…

  1. Follow the directions of the teacher and the directions on the sign.
  2. Move at a fast pace in orderly lines.
  3. Remain silent and stay alert for directions.

Students in corridors, lavatories, etc. should exit by the nearest exit door and join the nearest group supervised by a teacher.

  • Lockdown (twice a year)

School Security
All district schools have cameras and buzzer entry systems which restrict visitors’ access to the buildings.
To ensure the safety of our students, staff, and community, the district also has an identification (ID) card
system for all district staff. Visitors are issued temporary ID badges upon sign in at the main office.
Requiring visitors to present identification cards will help us to distinguish persons in our schools and
enhance safety.

Visitors
All adult visitors entering the building are required to report to the Office (North) or Main Lobby (South).
Students may not bring a friend or family member to school to spend the day.

Hall Passes
All students should have a pass if they leave their classrooms during class time. Time between classes
should be sufficient for lavatory use. The HALLWAY PASSPORT in the student planner is the official
pass record for students. Students are given an individual lavatory pass from their teachers during the
class period, which should also be recorded in the HALLWAY PASSPORT.

Lockers
Students are assigned a hall and gym locker for storage of books and clothing. Combinations should not
be shared with other students. The school is not responsible for items that are stolen or lost. Lockers
are the property of the Board of Education. They can and will be opened for inspection, if there is
just cause
to believe they contain any material illegal and/or detrimental to the health and safety of a
student or the school community. Random searches may be conducted, as well.

Care of Property – Bills Owed
A neat, well-kept school reflects good school citizenship. Keeping our school this way is everyone’s
responsibility and each student is expected to do his/her own part. Unsafe conditions or damage should
be reported to a school official immediately.

The cost of all repairs for damage to and/or replacement of any school property
is the responsibility
of the family of the student involved. This includes damaged or lost texts, library materials, co-curricular
equipment, etc. Intentional vandalism to school buildings and property may result in the filing of
police charges. Records and report cards may be withheld for students with outstanding accounts.

STUDENT SERVICES AND PROGRAM

Parents who are concerned about the academic progress and/or development of their child, are asked to
bring it to the attention of the school administrator, teacher, nurse, or counselor.

Club 678
The Crossroads After School Program, Club 678, will run daily from dismissal until 6:00 p.m. It will be
housed in Crossroads North and will serve students in grades 6-8 from both North and South. All school
rules observed during the day also apply to all after-school activities, including Club 678.

Curriculum
Crossroads has been organized to provide an appropriate learning environment for preadolescent middle
school students. In sixth, seventh and eighth grade a team of five to six teachers and approximately one
hundred to one hundred thirty-five students form a UNIT within which students receive instruction in
language arts—writing and literature, mathematics, science, social studies, and resource center support, as
needed.

A wide range of additional experiences is provided by specialists outside the Unit in the areas of art,
keyboarding, music, home arts, shop arts, graphic arts, computers, video, world languages (French, Latin,
Spanish), basic skills and physical education/health. All students are required to take physical
education/health and a world language. Basic skills classes are scheduled as needed. Sixth grade students
are enrolled in three different encore classes over the course of their year. Seventh and eighth grade
students are offered six encore classes, which meet a range of interests over the course of two years. We
also offer a variety of extracurricular activities, which meet before or after school hours: music, sports,
and special interests clubs. Students who have an interest in forming a new after school activity group
should bring the matter to the attention of activities coordinator in D402 (North) or D101 (South).

Homework
Homework at Crossroads is defined as any assigned work that is expected to be completed by students
sometime other than in regular class periods. We believe that such assignments serve several purposes,
including the following:

* Reinforcing and extending learning experiences beyond the class period by giving students an
opportunity to practice, to expand ideas, and to explore new ideas without the pressure of time.
* Helping students learn to plan and use their time wisely, to work independently, to use good study
skills, and to develop responsibility and self-discipline.

Homework can be the daily link to the home that allows parents to play a more active and informed role
in partnership of home and school. Assignments may be short-range (overnight) or long-range (two or
more days), and they may require a student to perform in a variety of learning modes. For example,
homework could take the form of doing paper and pencil exercises, reading and studying, practicing a
musical instrument, thinking through a problem, or gathering data and ideas through discussion.
We believe that a student at this age should be able to handle one to one and a half hours of homework
daily. LOOK FOR DAILY ASSIGNMENTS IN THIS STUDENT PLANNER.

Homework for Absentee/Make-up Work
We expect students to take responsibility for obtaining and completing any homework assignments they
miss when they are absent. EVERY STUDENT SHOULD HAVE THE TELEPHONE NUMBER OF
ONE OR TWO FRIENDS IN EACH CLASS
who can be called for the homework and class
information that is missed for an absence of a day or two. If they are unable to contact a classmate, or not
well enough to complete the work, they will be given the same number of days in which to make up the
work and tests as they were absent. Long-term assignments or work that was assigned prior to an absence
should be submitted on the due date. Parents may request a folder containing missed homework.
AFTER the second consecutive day of absence, calls to request homework should be placed to the
Guidance Counselor in the STUDENT PERSONNEL SERVICES OFFICE. When we get a call first
thing in the morning, we will make every effort to gather the work together for a 3:15 P.M. pick-up,
although this will not always be possible. If it is not, the counselors will call and the folder will be
available the following day. We strongly encourage picking up this work to ensure that your child stays
current with his/her assignments.

Library
Students are strongly encouraged to check out library materials. Any materials borrowed from the library
should be returned in a timely manner. In the event that any materials are not returned, please refer to the
Care of Property—Bills Owed section of this handbook.

Physical Education

Students in New Jersey are required by law to participate in physical education classes unless they are physically unable to take the regular course. A Physical Education teacher may excuse a student from gym for two days for valid health reasons provided the parent signs a note. Beyond two days, students will need a doctor’s note stating the length of time and the reason for being excused. ALL SUCH NOTES SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO THE TEACHER WHO WILL THEN SEND THE STUDENT TO THE NURSE. While a student is excused from Physical Education, he or she will not be allowed to participate in any school or after school related activities requiring physical activity.

No uniform is required for this class, but students are required by law to change into other clothing for participation in physical education classes. The kind of clothing chosen must be suitable to permit movement appropriate for the given activity. Having your name on all items of clothing makes it possible for their return should they be left out of your locker. The wearing of jewelry is inappropriate for nearly all physical education activities since these items could be a hazard to either the wearer or to another student. It is also very possible that jewelry can fall off, or break, during physical activity.

Dances
Several DANCES will be scheduled at regular intervals during the school year. Separate dances will be
held for grade 6 and grades 7/8. Teachers will be present to supervise. School dances are for Crossroads
students only
. Upon entering, all students must present their school ID Card and are expected to conduct
themselves in a manner suitable to the activity. Students who attend dances or other sponsored school
activities must be dropped off and picked up at the school.

Dances begin at 7:30. Students are not allowed entry after 8:00 P.M., unless accompanied by an adult.
Re-entry is not permitted. Students who leave early must be picked up by an adult at the door of
the gym. WHEN THE DANCE ENDS PARENTS OF NORTH STUDENTS CAN MEET THEIR
CHILDREN IN THE AUDITORIUM AND PARENTS FROM SOUTH CAN MEET THEIR
CHILDREN IN THE CAFETERIA. Since the chaperones will remain until all students have been
picked up, please be punctual and arrive by the designated end time of the dance to pick up your
child. Students who are picked up late may lose their privilege to attend the next dance.

Field Trips
A field trip is an optional activity that is planned to enhance or expand the educational programs at
Crossroads by providing an experience not available in the regular classroom or not available through our
school staff. Parental permission must be obtained prior to the date of the event for the student to
participate. The school reserves the right to exclude a student from a field trip if attendance and behavior
are of concern.

Student Council
The Crossroads Student Council is the formal representative body working for each and every student in
the school. Student participation is open and welcomed. The Council can be truly reflective of the
student body only when students get involved in the system. Get involved! Help it work!

Yearbook
Crossroads publishes a yearbook featuring its sixth, seventh and eighth-graders.

Parties
Parties to celebrate a birthday, or other special personal event in the life of a student, should be a family
matter. Please do not send flowers or balloons to school. They will not be accepted.

STUDENT PERSONNEL SERVICESGuidance and Counseling

The goal of the staff is to assist students in developing their maximum potential both in academic and
personal areas. Counselors provide support and guidance, including information for decision-making and
a chance to think through issues with a trained and caring adult.
Individual and group activities are both provided. Counselors are a resource to help students and families
connect with other agencies. Guidance Counselors provide both prevention and intervention services to
students. Confidential counseling is available to students with specific concerns about areas of personal
risk and danger, whether their own or someone about whom they care. If you wish to speak to a
counselor, stop by before or after school, during lunch, or ask a teacher for a pass. We want all students
to be successful at Crossroads School and prepared for the high school experience. Parents should feel
free to contact the counselor at any time. In Crossroads Middle School, the counselors are part of the
Unit Team and support the unit services. CONFIDENTIALITY ends when staff members believe that the
student with whom they are speaking is in danger of hurting her/himself or another person.

Child Study Team
A Social Worker, Learning Consultant, and Psychologist are available to help students, parents and staff
determines if there is a special learning need. When the data shows us what the need is, we modify the
program so she/he can be more successful in school. Parents are always involved in this process.

School Based Youth Services
Additional counseling services are offered at Crossroads through UMDNJ. Arrangements for these
services can be made through Unit counselors and case managers.

Working Papers
These are required for all persons ages 14-18 who are gainfully employed. They are issued for a specific
job, not a general permission to work. Working papers are available from SPS. They will tell you what
other papers you must complete and provide during this process.

Transfers to Other Schools
In order to insure an orderly transfer of school records for those students transferring from Crossroads to
another school, all materials assigned to students must be returned. Until this process is completed, no
transfer card or records will be sent. This process is facilitated by the “checking out” system available
through the Student Personnel Services Office.

DYFS*
The Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) is New Jersey's child protection and child welfare
agency within the Department of Children and Families. Its mission is to ensure the safety and well being
of children and their families.

DYFS is responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse and neglect and, if necessary, arranging
for the child's protection and the family's treatment. DYFS operates a 24-hour, 7-days a week child abuse
hotline to receive all reports of suspected child abuse and neglect. The hotline is linked with a statewide
network of Special Response Units charged with the responsibility of responding to reports received after
normal business hours and on holidays. Any concerns regarding child abuse or neglect should be reported
by calling 1-877-NJ-ABUSE. Find more information on the child abuse hotline and contact information
for DYFS local and area office by going to the State Department of Education’s web site at
www.state.nj.us/dcf/divisions/dyfs/.

Custody and Guardianship*

Unless a parent’s right to information about his/her child’s performance in school has been terminated by
the court, both parents have access to such information. If a parent’s right has been terminated by the
court, the other parent must provide the school with such legal documentation. The school will need a
copy of that part of your legal agreement that specifies the custody and visiting rights of parents. This
information will be kept confidential. The school needs this information in order to meet its legal
obligations.

TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
Bus assignments are made by the Transportation Supervisor in accordance with your residence. All
students are assigned to one particular bus. Students are not authorized to ride any other bus to or
from school or to get off the bus at any other stop other than the one to which they are assigned.

Bus regulations
have been written to help bring about safe, orderly, and pleasant school bus rides to and
from school. We expect students to conduct themselves in a courteous and cooperative manner. Do your
part by observing the following regulations:

The bus driver is in full charge of the bus. Any situation that needs attention should be reported to
the driver at once.

  1. Be at your designated “pick-up” area 10 minutes prior to the scheduled bus arrival time.
  2. When waiting for the school bus, either at home or on the school grounds, wait for the bus to come to a full STOP before attempting to board. Always stay out of the road. This also applies when getting off the bus.
  3. Respect neighborhood lawns and property. Behavior reflects upon the reputation of family and school.
  4. Walking or standing while the bus is in motion is not permitted.
  5. For personal safety, do not put hands, arms, or heads out of the bus windows.
  6. In the interest of cleanliness and good appearance, do not tamper with or deface anything on the bus, nor throw any objects on the floor or out of the windows.
  7. Upon taking a seat on the bus, inspect the area and immediately report any damage, litter or unsafe conditions to the driver. This will assist the driver in having the condition corrected and prevent a student from being inappropriately blamed for the incident.
  8. Smoking and using profane language are strictly forbidden. When, and if, you are getting off the bus to cross the street, cross in front of the bus. Watch for traffic coming in either direction.
  9. At no time should anything be thrown at or from the bus.
  10. Remember, the school bus is considered school property.
  11. In rare cases, (emergencies), the Transportation Department at the Board Office may grant permission for a student to ride a different bus. Birthday parties, social gatherings, religious instruction are not considered emergencies.
  12. Remember that riding a school bus is a privilege. State law states that: PUPILS MAY BE EXCLUDED FROM THE BUS FOR DISCIPLINARY REASONS BY THE PRINCIPAL AND PARENTS SHALL PROVIDE FOR TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM SCHOOL DURING THE PERIOD OF SUCH EXCLUSION.
  13. All bats and lacrosse sticks must be stored in an appropriate manner (sports bag, etc).

Late Buses
When students remain after school for authorized activities or detention, they may ride the Late Bus. It
departs from Crossroads at approximately 4:15 & 5:15 PM. Only students accompanied by a teacher,
coach or activity sponsor are permitted to use the late buses. Late bus is not provided for spectators of
athletic events.

Pick-Up/Drop-Off (For SOUTH)
When dropping off students during arrival and dismissal times, please use the rear parking lot on
Kingston Lane. The students can be dropped off or picked up along the curb near the side of the school.

Pick-Up/Drop-Off (For NORTH)
When dropping off students during arrival and dismissal times, please follow the clearly marked lanes.
The right lane is for pick-up and drop-off and the left lane is for driving through.
