What is the School Site Council?

The mission of the Site Council is to explore issues of concern at SBHS through an open forum of communication. The Site Council is a parent group which gathers community input and makes viable suggestions to the administration, so that the school community benefits at large.



The purpose of the Council is to bring diverse ideas to the table, diagnose problems and develop effective solutions. The recommendations assist the school craft a shared plan for improvement for the benefit of all students. For example, inequities in SBHS and other comparable school districts student GPA's were fixed in 2007-2008, based on a study and recommendations provided by the Site Council.



Membersh is free of charge. All parents and guardians are invited to attend and participate in monthly meetings.


Meeting Format:

Monthly meetings are generally held in the Library from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 following PTO meetings.
