Dr. Maribeth Edmunds
Principal


Maribeth Edmunds has been an educator for over 25 years. She has devoted her career to student achievement, teacher professional development, and academic excellence in New Jersey's public schools.

Dr. Edmunds earned a bachelor's degree in English Education and a master's in Reading Education from Montclair University. In 2001, she completed a master's in Educational Administration from The College of New Jersey. She received her doctoral degree from Seton Hall University in Educational Leadership, Management and Policy in October 2007.

Dr. Edmunds began her career at the Ridgewood Public Schools. In 1992, she joined the staff at SBHS as an English teacher and later became Freshman House Leader and AFG Internal Coordinator. She was also among the developers of the first performance assessment at the high school that received the NJASCD Curriculum Project Award in 1998.

At Central Office, she served as the Assistant to the Superintendent, the Affirmative Action Officer and later as Director of Professional Development. In 2004, she was named to the State's Task Force on Mentoring. Her work on mentoring was published last year in the book, The Reflective Mentor: Case Studies in Creating and Learning Partnerships. Most recently, she led the district in an extensive training program called Tech Blitz 2006. She has also led Summer Institutes for teachers in Understanding by Design, Lesson Study and Differentiation of Instruction. Dr. Edmunds has been named to Who's Who Among America's Teachers and was voted to the governance board of The Professional Development Network at TCNJ.

Dr. Edmunds is enormously proud of her family. She has been married to her husband Carl for 28 years. She has a son Carl Ross, and her daughter, Tanya, 19, is a drama and directing student at NYU. Last but not least is Randa, a black retriever mix, who completes the family.


Elizabeth DeLucia
Assistant Principal


Ms. DeLucia has served as assistant principal of Monmouth Junction School since July 2003. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Wagner College, an M.A. with a concentration in Reading/Language Arts and an M.A. in Educational Administration, from Rider University. Before being appointed to this position Ms. DeLucia served in a variety of roles in South Brunswick including acting assistant principal of Brunswick Acres School, Instructional Specialist in Reading, and classroom teacher of various grades.
