PTO vs PTA Information
During the school year, the PTA meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month
in the school cafeteria at 7:15 PM; babysitting is provided. We have an
exciting year planned & we need your help! Why not come out & join
us?
Do you bring your camera to school events? If you have any photos
of our students we can use for the school yearbook or slideshow, please email
them to Sharon Monasch at: sharon.monasch@sbschools.org
Have you come across any great articles on parenting issues that may
be of interest to others? We’d like to provide a link to them on
our PTA page and share them with our parents. Please forward them to PTA President Kristin Romanok at: kromanok@verizon.net for
consideration.

Our Dollars at Work Ever wonder where the money we collect goes? The PTA has grants available for programs or other suggestions that would enhance our children's education. Have an idea? Let us know! We are always looking for new programs to benefit our kids. Contact our VP-Programs, at: or
The PTA currently provides:
- TEACHER AND CLASSROOM GRANTS
- STUDENT PLANNERS for every child in grades 2-5 and K-1 FOLDERS for each primary student
- FIFTH GRADE FAREWELL CEREMONY- a class t-shirt and a Crossroads North lanyard for every “graduating” 5th grade student
- SCHOLARSHIPS to two former Monmouth Junction students who are entering college and support for a safe graduation celebration with SBHS’ PROJECT GRADUATION
- ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS such as childcare at PTA meetings
- CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING! We are in need of volunteers to for Landscaping, Ophelia Project, Website/Publicity committee, Volunteer committee and someone to chair it.
- Please support our fundraisers whenever possible. In the past, we have held several fundraisers each year to cover our expenses and programs. This year the PTA would like to have

The Box Tops for Education - Look for box tops on packages from many of your favorite grocery items; for every one you cut out & send in through your child's teacher, the school gets cash. General Mills sends us a check twice a year (and the last one was over $300!) |

Target Cash for Schools program - just ask for your Target charge card to be linked to our school; it's fast & easy - you can do this at Customer Service or online. Monmouth Junction Elementary's ID# is 74061. For each dollar you charge, we receive 1% back in unrestricted funds to use as needed! |

Link your SuperFresh Customer Loyalty card to our school - stop by the customer service desk to fill out a short form or download it here. Our school gets credit for every purchase you make! How easy is that?! (For this program, you must reenroll every school year) |

Link your Verizon Account to our school - Verizon will donate a percentage to the school for every dollar you spend! Forms are available in the school office. |

Community Outreach 
The
PTA is also working to help raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities,
which create, fund & support programs that directly improve the health
and well being of children. Many Ronald McDonald Houses work with local
recycling centers to receive money for collecting pop tabs from aluminum
cans, therefore our classes are now collecting pop tops, too! You can
help by sending pop tops into school with your child. This is strictly
a charitable contribution.
