Open House: Wednesday, September 3rd from 2:00 -3:00 p.m.
First Day of School: Thursday, September 4
th – Full Day of School
PTO Ice Cream Social: Friday, September 5th – Rain or Shine. 6:30 p.m. (MJ Playground.)
PTO Meeting: September 23, 2014 (7:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria – Free Babysitting Provided.)
Picture Day: September 18

M.J. MISSION-BELIEF STATEMENT
Our mission at Monmouth Junction Elementary School is to promote an optimum educational experience and provide an environment where students feel safe, respected, nurtured and supported.

The Monmouth Junction Community, staff, parents, and students believe that:
  • All children can learn.
  • Students have varying styles of learning and achieve at different rates.
  • Opportunities should be provided to meet the needs of the whole child.
  • Each child has individual thoughts and feelings.
  • Kindness and compassion should be encouraged.
  • The Monmouth Junction Strategies for the Development of Self-Control will guide us to promote learning in a safe environment.
  • Appropriate behavior needs to be modeled and explained with clear expectations and consistent consequences.
