Language Arts:
Whole class reads Nothing’s Fair in Fifth Grade, Sticks, and Number the Stars.
The remainder of the novels will vary between reading groups. We do Guided Reading groups and Literature Circles.
Writing:
We will be writing in a number of genres including persuasive writing, narratives, descriptive, expository, research papers, fiction and non-fiction.
Students will be keeping an on-going Writer’s Notebook.
