School Site Council PTA meeting The Greenbrook School School Site Council is a group of teachers, parents and community members entrusted with the task of academic goal setting. This school based management group gives the entire school community a voice in making important decisions which directly affect the quality of education in our school. The School Site Council acts as a liaison between parents, teachers, administrators and Board of Education members. It consists of six parents, five teachers and two school administrators. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month. Some projects which have been developed by the Council are Author's Night, K-2 Bedtime Story Hour, and Math, Science, and Technology Night.

Great success,  approx. 70 children showed up with adults.

Oct. 25 Educational Foundation fundraising event was held at DoubleTree Hotel.  Money was raised that will be used to support all of the schools in the district.
Discussions of innovated ways to increase our special ed. population test results for NCLB

Greenbrook is 27 pages long.  Focus is to increase Parent involvement.
Parent Conferences with Early Dismissal for the students week of Nov. 15
No School on Nov. 16 in observance of EID
Parent discovered Greenbrook Weather bug on the Internet.  
Electrical problems in the 5th grade wing.  Projectors are not working however, a work order has been sent and this should be fixed shortly.
Lunchroom:  snap cards were not working and will also be fixed soon.  This may be related to the power outage.
Mrs. Hluchy will take a family leave on Nov. 10, 2010
Replacement:  Ms. Jago who will be in the classroom to help with the transition for the students.
She is a former South Brunswick student who graduated from the University of Delaware. She is certified to tech in PA, DE and NJ.
Due to Budget cuts, Greenbrook will be recruiting volunteers to help with areas in the school.
Library which is not open on Wednesdays due to the librarian working in another school that day. We could use help from a volunteer to help restack books on the shelves.
Training will take place for all volunteers on the District's Policies and a discussion of Student Confidentiality.
Nov. 12  Veterans Day
Flag raising for all student and staff with special guests from most Military Branches will be present with an assembly to follow.
Faculty Meeting Discussion on Bullying and Teasing.  Greenbrook faculty will create a teacher task force.
Possible activities will include a field trip to the Kidsbridge Tolerance Museum at TCNJ.  (pre and post test data showed students changed their behavior about bullying activities).
Epic Workshop:  November 30.  The Minds Of Boys.  Crossroad North at 7:00
Discussion of possible future literacy events:  Barnes and Noble reading evening could be hosted.
