Meeting called to order at 7:36

Tsunami Aid: Greenbrook will immediately start a fundraising project for the children affected by the tsunamis in Asia. The project will kick off on Friday, Jan. 7th during the Friday Morning Assembly. The 5th graders will own this coin drive. Teachers will work to coordinate and promote the fundraising within the classrooms. More information will come home shortly. The fundraising project will replace the Pennies for Patients program which had been planned previously.

Treasury Report: Julie ñ December was very busy, lots of checks. Check for Pictures - $2460, Tee Shirts - $1000 (projection was only $650). Received ticket money for the Winter event but we laid out the deposit on it and ticket sales are slow.

The Winter Event for the Trenton Titanís is so far much undersold. We have already paid the Arena to hold 300 seats and approximately 50 tickets have been sold. One more flyer will be sent home and if sales donít increase, the event will be cancelled. Maybe there is the possibility of the chorus performing to boost participation. Mrs. Waxman and the co-chairs will check into this.

Lost And Found ñ 2 full bags of clothing have been put away. They have been on display for a few weeks, but not much has been picked up. May put out again next week during winter concerts and if nothing is claimed soon may end up donating items. The ìLostî items include sneakers, coats, hats, gloves, umbrellas etc.

Reminder to dress students ìweather appropriatelyî, especially with Winter upon us. The children will go outside and really need to have proper outdoor clothing. Please label all clothing!

Update on Construction: Mrs. Holliday distributed some photos showing that footings for the foundations have been poured and pipes have been laid. They are on schedule and even a little ahead. Next phase is the steel beams; this is a quick phase and weíll all be able to see that phase of construction.

Mrs. Holliday reported:
Mrs. Levinston (speech teacher) had a death in the immediate family. She is out in Las Vegas attending the funeral all week.

Mrs. Canejaís due date is April. Estimate that she will be leaving in March. Mrs. Holliday will begin the interview process to look for a replacement that will be in the class for a transition phase before Mrs. Caneja leaves.

District Announcements ñ Sue Nissenblatt (EPIC coordinator) resigned and the position has been filled. Chris Mariano has taken the position.

Winter Concerts:
- Greenbrook will host Winter Concerts on the evenings of January 10th and 11th.
- The Friday Morning Assembly on January 14th will feature some selections from the Winter Concerts.

Cultural Arts Committee:

Fall fundraising did not meet budget, must look to Spring fundraising to supplement.

Spring Fundraising: will include Original Art Works which will have each student do one special piece in art class that will be available for putting on items (mugs, tee shirts etc); This will not be in competition with the Artsonia project that Miss Macy and Miss O' Connell are working on.

Note: Artsonia is new to Greenbrook and it is important for parents to monitor the comments submitted etc.

FYI: Mother's day plant sale is not intended to raise money.
