School Site Council PTA meeting The Greenbrook School School Site Council is a group of teachers, parents and community members entrusted with the task of academic goal setting. This school based management group gives the entire school community a voice in making important decisions which directly affect the quality of education in our school. The School Site Council acts as a liaison between parents, teachers, administrators and Board of Education members. It consists of six parents, five teachers and two school administrators. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month. Some projects which have been developed by the Council are Author's Night, K-2 Bedtime Story Hour, and Math, Science, and Technology Night.

S. Schatzman and N. Blanes welcomed everyone

Dr. Speesler said that the budget presentation would be on March 3oth.  February 26 at 7:00 pm will be the Educational Summit at Crossroads North.

P.Holliday discussed that one snow day has been used and that the auto dialer is working. There is currently a freeze on purchase orders and anything ordered must have a firm rationale behind it. There is also a paraprofessional hiring freeze and paraprofessionals  are not being replaced.

There are 7 student teachers at Greenbrook.  There is also a group of sophomore Math, Science and Tech students spending time at Greenbrook.

Two teachers will be going on maternity leave within the next month. Three staff members have recently lost family members.
Math, Science and Tech Night will be March 12.  There will be a book fair, Star Lab, Building Expo and science experiments presentation.

Staff had looked at a published newsletter that can be subscribed to and they feel it would be easier to use than SSC creating one. It was discussed that money from the SSC account be used for this.

J. Walters discussed the Instrument Bank and ideas for other banks ( Bike Bank, Tool Bank)

A. Sisko discussed Mother Daughter Book Club.
