School Site Council PTA meeting The Greenbrook School School Site Council is a group of teachers, parents and community members entrusted with the task of academic goal setting. This school based management group gives the entire school community a voice in making important decisions which directly affect the quality of education in our school. The School Site Council acts as a liaison between parents, teachers, administrators and Board of Education members. It consists of six parents, five teachers and two school administrators. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month. Some projects which have been developed by the Council are Author's Night, K-2 Bedtime Story Hour, and Math, Science, and Technology Night.

Board of education Report:
Dr. Speesler updated us on what is happening at the Board of Education. They are busy updating the policy manual and will put the manual on the SB Schools website when it is done. He has concerns over funding and how to do more with less funds. They are going to look into educational foundation and rely on other funding sources. The audit report was in and they received unconditional approval in the audit process which means that money is being handled properly by the Board. He stated policy for the upcoming holiday season celebrations that they be non-secular non- religious in connotation.

Principal’s Report:
Mrs. Holliday spoke about Veteran’s Day Flag raising ceremony at Greenbrook. Some Veterans were invited from the Greenbrook family. Sgt. Bock, Sgt. Burnett, Seaman Gulgun, Sgt. D’Angelo, Lt. Col. Holliday and Barbara Walsh whose son died in Iraq were there. Three 5th graders raised the flag with solemnity, the entire school recited the pledge of allegiance and a moment of silence was observed. A 4th Grader played The National Anthem on the chimes. Mrs. Waxman and Mrs. Chesnovitz helped out coordinating the program.
Parent’s academy is hosting Spotlight on Social Studies program this Thursday 11/20 from 7 to 8:30 PM in Crossroads North.
Odyssey Of The Mind program information is scheduled for 11/20 at 6PM in our school cafeteria. Ms. Walko and Mrs. Shortreed are our school coordinators.
