5th Grade Language Art Literacy The Fifth grade Language Arts Literacy is working on how to connect to the text. Making connection to the text helps students become better readers. Following Conference week, we will begin to read Stone Fox. Students wil once again complete an on-line quest to acquire background information of the Iditarod, Wyoming and samoyeds. 3rd Grade Math Replacement We have started addition with regrouping. We'll be using the Smart Board so that students can concretely understand how and why to regroup. 3rd Grade Language Art Literacy Replacement You might have worked on a language experience packet with your child. If so, you discussed hurricane, nor'easters and dangers at seas. This all helped your child gain general knowledge to read the book, Keep the Lights Buring, Abbie. As we finish up the novel, we will analyze the main character, Abbie, retell the story and follow directions to create miniature lighthouse.
