Bonnie Capes Principal Bonnie H. Capes is the Principal of Cambridge Elementary School. She is a proud graduate of SBHS, Crossroads Middle School, and Greenbrook Elementary School. After graduating from SBHS, Bonnie earned a bachelor's degree in Music Education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. In 2001, she returned to South Brunswick to begin her career as a Music Teacher at Constable Elementary School followed by eight years of teaching at Brooks Crossing Elementary School. During that time, she also gained a master's degree from Teachers College, Columbia University and her Administrative and Supervisory certifications from the Foundation for Educational Administration's NJ EXCEL Program for Educational Leadership. Aside from being a teacher, Bonnie has served the district in various roles having been the Interim Assistant Principal for Monmouth Junction, Dayton, and Deans Elementary Schools and most recently serving as the Director of Professional Development for two years. Bonnie and her husband James, a teacher in Monroe Township, are proud parents of their two children, Autumn and Spencer. "Cambridge has a long tradition of excellence. | Peter Rattien Assistant Principal Peter Rattien is proud to be the assistant principal of Cambridge and Constable schools. Mr. Rattien began his tenure with the South Brunswick School District in September 2005. He performed his undergraduate studies at Ithaca College and earned a Master's Degree in Education from Hunter College. Mr. Rattien completed his work in educational administration and supervision at the Foundation for Education Administration's NJ Excel Program for Educational Leadership. Prior to coming to South Brunswick, Mr. Rattien worked as a teacher for the New York City Board of Education in the Bronx. In South Brunswick, Mr. Rattien taught at Greenbrook and Monmouth Junction schools. During his time there, he became a district leader in the area of technology and language arts instruction. He served on various leadership committees, presented professional development workshops, and wrote language arts currciculum. Along with his wife, Jamie, they have two wonderful children, Jacob and Jenna. |
