Library Policies and Procedures An important goal of the Library Media Center is to provide
an atmosphere
that promotes a love of books and reading for all students.
During these formative years we also strive to teach children to be responsible
library patrons.
Access Policies
All students are scheduled for a library period with their
class once a week to check out library books.
At that time kindergarten and first graders also have a story time before
checkout.
In addition to the scheduled library period, students may visit the library to check out books whenever the library is open. Checkout Policies Kindergarten and first grade students may check out 1 book.
It is due in 1 week and must be returned before another book may be borrowed.
All other students may have 2 books checked out at one time and may keep
them for 2 weeks.
If students have an overdue book they may not checkout another book until
the overdue book is returned.
