Ms. Valenti

Español es importante!

Dear Parents,
Please remember that Spanish classes (3rd, 4th, and 5th grades) will need to bring a composition notebook, folder, nametag, and pencil to class (4th and 5th grade bring last year's notebook). Homework will be given weekly. Please check the website to find out what each group is working on.

K-2 Spanish
In grades K-2, classroom teachers use the SALSA video program to introduce the Spanish language. SALSA is a special program through which Kindergarten, First, and Second graders watch some of their favorite stories, like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood, and Three Billy Goats Gruff, in Spanish. Here is the SALSA website where you can find the episodes, the focus library, and some fun games that you can try with your children: http:www.gpb.org/salsa .

3-5 Spanish
In grades 3-5, students meet with Señora Valenti once a week for 35 minutes to implement the district's World Language elementary curriculum.
