Honors at Brunswick Acres
In 1985, Brunswick Acres was selected to participate with a world wide group of thirty-five schools in The Elementary School Consortium. Today we still join each year with other South Brunswick schools and participate in the successor organization, the International Teaching and Learning Consortium to improve instruction.
In 1990, BA was awarded a $274,000 grant from The Next Century Schools foundation to address the needs of all learners, extend the reach of staff development and the services available in the school. Today, Mentoring, Before School Reading and The Homework Club, which developed out of the grant-related activities, continue to support student learning.
This past spring, our school received a grant in acknowledgement of the work done to promote a "Healthy Active Learning Lifestyle" among all members of the school community.
We are proud to announce Mrs Taylor, nurse, has been awarded the 2008 Teacher of the Year Award.
