* Grades K, 1 and 2 have a half hour media center class once in each 6-day cycle. Grades 3-5 have a 20-minute book exchange and about 40-minute research periods which are used as needed. Children are encouraged to use the Media Center whenever they need to come, with their teacher's permission.
* Kindergarten and 1st grade students are allowed to borrow 1 book for one 6-day cycle. If the book is returned, another can be checked out. Students can “save” a book and it will be available for check out if their book is returned before their next library day.
* Students in grades 2 through 5 can borrow two items for personal reading. Check out period is two 6-day cycles. Additional materials can be borrowed for book reports and research.
* All materials should be returned or renewed by the due date.
* Overdue notices are sent out as needed. There are no fines for overdue items, but prompt return is expected.
* Materials must be returned before any other items can be borrowed.
* Children are responsible for materials signed out to them.
*The fee for a lost or damaged library material is the replacement cost.
*Please call the librarian, Gerry Myers, at (732)297-6621 X 3459 if a book has been lost or damaged. Once it is recorded as such in our system, we can continue to check out books to your child.
