| Children: Feel free to play some games
online. Parents: Please assist your child in playing these games that will help them during the beginning months of school. Here is a website you can print paper from so your child can practice writing at home. (This can be used for future homework assignments.) |

*Parents if you find yourself asking, "What did you do today?" and hearing, "Nothing" or "I don't know." Feel free to prompt your child with asking questions about some of the activities listed below. Each day there will be about 5 things you can talk about from our day at school.

*Writing Workshop: Using their writing partner to help plan a small moment story before writing words or drawing pictures
*Class discussion of importance of our 'Attendance Stick' and why 19 is our 'Magic Number' (because we have 19 students in our classroom).
November 19
*Met our 4th grade buddies. Ask your child about their buddy.
*Began practicing for our 'surprise' at the Thanksgiving celebration (invitation coming home tomorrow)
*Mrs. Downie came to do a lesson on Secret Codes. Ask your child about the secret codes they made.
