Registration is now closed for the 2012-13 School Year!

Odyssey of the Mind Experience is a program that provides creative problem solving opportunities for students in grades K-5. Students apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to a local showcase, tentatively scheduled for early March.

Odyssey of the Mind Experience consists of a team of 5-7 students coached by 1-2 parent volunteers. Teams meet after the school day to plan and implement their problem. Coordinators help set up teams and offer support for coaches. Parent support is an integral part of the Odyssey of the Mind Experience program. Parent volunteers are trained by district and building coordinators, who offer support and assistance throughout the duration of the program. If parent volunteers are not available to coach, some students may not be able to participate on a team. The cost of the program is $25 per child.
