Instrument Bank
South Brunswick School District supports the Greenbrook School Site Council Instrument Bank initiative to collect gently-used musical instruments and music stands for students in need who are participating in the District's music program.
This fall (2008) marks the Instrument Bank's one-year anniversary.
As of September, two dozen instruments have been donated by township residents, fourteen of which have been distributed to elementary school students.
Families that are in need should contact the music teacher at their child's school and the request is fulfilled as long as the Bank has the needed instrument. If a specific instrument is not available, the Greenbrook Site Council will communicate the need to the community and will work to obtain the needed instrument.
Musical instruments and music stands that are in good condition as well as those that may need minor repairs are welcomed.
Donations can be picked up at your home or place of business.
Simply contact Greenbrook Site Council member Judy Walters to schedule a mutually convenient date and time for the instrument(s) to be picked up. Ms. Walters' E-mail is JWRWAND2@aol.com.
