Home to School CommunicationsSouth Brunswick School District understands and values the importance of effective communication between school and home.

The District utilizes several outlets to keep the school community informed with accurate information about the schools. In addition to verbal communication between teachers and parents, the Spotlight on Schools newsletter is mailed to all Township residents.  Newsletters from building principals or parent teacher associations/organizations are sent home regularly through Friday Folders, Friday Distributions or mass E-mail to parents or guardians.

The elementary schools offer an electronic Online Friday Folder, where outside organizational flyers and most home-school communications are sent to subscribers via E-mail. Materials that are sensitive in nature (class trip permission slips) will be sent home via hard copy. We encourage parents and guardians to sign up for this service by clicking on the E-mail Notification Sign-Up icon located on the Home Page of the District's Web site.

The middle schools offer a Friday E-mail Distribution. Parents or guardians will receive sign-up information at the start of the school year. South Brunswick High School has a quarterly mailing which is sent home to parents or guardians. The high school Web site will be used to post other communications specifically for high school parents or guardians.

Important information is also posted on Viking Television Network (Comcast Cable Channel 28) and the Home Page of our Web site.

If the need arises, a letter from the building principal or the Superintendent may be sent home through the mail or in students' backpacks on any day throughout the school year. Parents or guardians are encouraged to check their child's backpacks and their E-mail daily.
